CYO XC Updates

OLMC / OLG Meets Flyer -

Mt Carmel and Guadalupe and Co. host meets at Central Bucks East HS on 9/29, 10/13 and 10/20. There are no entrance fees. Please refer to the flyer above.

The Corpus Christi cross country team will be collecting cash donations for Hurricane Relief this Sunday, October 1st, during the meet. If you would like to made a donation as a team or individual, please seek out their athletes who will be walking along the course  or their team camp. Corpus Christi sets up shop under the tree grove at the center of the Plateau. All donations received will be given to "Catholic Relief Services Hurricane Relief Fund."

Athletes will be receiving invitations to join the post-season program at tomorrows meet. Preliminary information is available in the XC packet (look to the right) and more information will be forthcoming.

2017 CYO Cross Country Materials

2017 Cross Country Packet - All coaches should download and read.

Coaches Meeting Materials - These were passed out at the coaches meeting on August 20th. Attached are the instructions for signing up for the XC remind service.

Roster for Bib Numbers - As discussed at the coaches meeting, all teams will need to complete this form to get bib numbers. (I recommend renaming the form with your team name). The spreadsheet has restrictions on the information that can be inputted into the "Age Group" and "Gender" columns.

The 2017 CYO XC Coaches meeting is this Sunday, August 20th, at 7pm in the cafeteria at St. Anastasia school 

The first meet of the year will be Sunday, September 17th.

Only one record set on Saturday - Malik Cooper of St. Aloysius Academy ran 22.88 in the Cadet Boys 200m, breaking the old record of 23.31 set in 2010 by Robert Farley of Assumption BVM - Feasterville

AOP Champs Facts:

There were 45 individual winners for the 50 individual events. Malik Cooper won 3 individual golds. Derek Courtney (St Norbert), Kayla Croiger (St Eleanor), and Samantha Sharrow (OLPH) won 2 individual golds.

Only 7 teams won relay gold out of the 16 relay events, with Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Andrew - Newtown both getting 5 each. St Thomas the Apostle won 2 relays.

33 teams had an individual or relay gold.
66 teams had an top 3 medalist
85 teams had a top 6 medalist.

AOP Champs Analysis

There were 118 teams with an individual or relay entry. There are 1440 entries into the meet's 66 events.

During the season there are over 120 teams and approximately 5,000 athletes across the Archdiocese.
