2011 Archdiocesan Champs Performance List

Archdiocesan Champs Performance List

Time Schedule-Revised for Shot Put Open Pit

The Open Pit for Shot will be from 8:45am to 9:30am, and is open only to competitors with conflicting running/field events at Franklin Field at the time their age group is scheduled to throw.  Athletes  who have conflicts with other sporting events/clubs/family parties will not be allowed to throw during the open pit.

SHOT PUT DIRECTIONS -

Walk from Franklin Field toward Center City on South Street. Cross over South Street to the south side of the bridge.  Take the stairwell adjacent to the Hollenback Center (the only big red brick building on the bridge). Turn right at the bottom of the steps and head toward Rhodes Field. (see the google map). Shot Put is adjacent to the 2nd soccer field. I have been told that the parking lots that were used last year to access Shot Put will be closed on Saturday. I would suggest that athletes and their families plan to park on the street or in lots near Franklin Field and walk to Shot Put

This is great site. It's very informative.

Do have the order of events and times for Arch?

Terry O'Connell said...

It is included in the track packet on the right. I'll extract the page and link to it.

Will there be 1 or 2 heats for the mile?

Terry,

Considering how far away the shot put venue is, will there be an open pit prior to the first age group? It appears that the shot and high jump are at virtually the same time for every age group.

Yes that has been considered and yes there will be an open pit. I'll have the information online at some point tomorrow.

Can you give directions to the shot put pit? I know it is a ways off.

Hello Terry,

Will the lane assignments get posted this year?

I do not post the lane assignments for Archdiocesan Champs.
