Philadelphia CYO Track and Field, Cross Country
The mission of CYO sports is to help develop our Catholic youth through healthy & enjoyable competition. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of many people, past and present, Philadelphia CYO track & field and cross country have grown to be among of the largest and most competitive programs in America. - Shot Put will be contested at the Ott Center Indoor Track & Field facility.
- We will have a conflict flight for athletes with event conflicts who are contesting Shot Put beginning at 4:15pm. See updated event conflict rules in the track packet.
- 4x200ms will be contested entirely in lanes using a 4 turn stagger over 2 heats per age groups.
- 4x400ms will be run using 3 turn stagger instead of waterfall start.
- 1600m races will have a second row of athletes at the common start finish (currently assuming seeds 18 - 24).
- 800m races will be contested over 2 heats of 12 instead of one heat of 24.
- Only 8 athletes will advance to the final in the 100 meter. (We have been advancing 9 in recent years since we had 9 lanes).
- The only entrance to the track will be from the 100m starting area. All other areas will be closed off.
