2023 CYO Track & Field Season
CYO Track & Field gets underway on March 1, 2023. Here is the 2023 CYO Track & Field Packet . Please review the packet for all the important dates and changes to the competition schedule.
There are many changes happening in CYO track & field this year. We have re-aligned our teams into new regions, and taken the total the number of regions from 11 regions to 9. A full list of teams by region, with the total number of athletes registered in 2022, can be found here.
Each region will advance 8 athletes in individual events and 5 teams per relay event to their area meet. A full breakdown of Area/Regions is available in the track packet.
Other changes:
1.) The distance limit has been eliminated. Athletes are now limited only by the number of events they can participate in, based on their age group.
2.) ***New Event*** - We have added a Co-Ed Open Distance Medley Relay. The format of the relay is 1200 - 400 - 800 - 1600. Each relay must include 1 novice and 1 minor, 2 girls, and 2 boys. The boys and girls on the DMR relay team can run in any order, and the alternates selected can be any mix of age groups and genders.
